Olivia DeMarinis

Olivia DeMarinis is a NYC based videographer, photographer, video editor, and designer with a background in Film and Video Art from Wake Forest University, where she also played Division I soccer. Her creative work sits at the intersection of film, fashion, art, and culture, with a strong focus on visual storytelling and creating work that feels authentic and visually distinctive.
Growing up in Southeast Florida, Olivia developed a deep appreciation for its natural beaches and wildlife. The local surf and skate culture, particularly the rebellious energy of the 1980s, captivated her with its vibrant aesthetics. At 14, inspired by this scene, Olivia and her twin sister launched their own fashion brand, RetroXO Elements, blending thrifted vintage styles with modern sustainability. Today, they continue to create handcrafted, one of a kind hats using upcycled and repurposed materials, giving new life to unique fabrics and materials.
Since then, Olivia has continued to build experience across videography, photography, editing, fashion, and creative production. Most recently, she has been working as an Assistant Video Editor and Studio Assistant at Mackcut, supporting commercial projects for brands including Pringles, Amazon, McDonald’s, and Southwest Airlines. She has also worked as a videographer and photographer with organizations including the World Surf League and National Women’s Soccer League.
Now based in New York City, Olivia continues to explore creative opportunities across film, fashion, and visual media. She is drawn to projects that allow her to collaborate, experiment, and bring together different creative disciplines. Whether she’s behind a camera, editing footage, designing, or developing a brand concept, she is always looking for new ways to tell stories through a strong visual lens.
